Kitchen installation for homes in Kendal and the surrounding parts of Cumbria, designed around your house and built by our teams under a single written contract.

Covering Kendal

Kendal is about 40 miles south of Carlisle. We also cover Ulverston (17 miles to the south-west), Morecambe and Lancaster.

Projects in Cumbria are taken on by arrangement, and any travel and accommodation costs for the team are shown openly in the quote.

Homes in the North West

Across the North West, Victorian terraces, inter-war semis and modern estates all feature, and brick or stone matching is chosen to suit each street.

What does kitchen installation involve?

Kitchen installation covers removing the old kitchen, preparing the room, fitting new units and worktops, connecting plumbing and appliances, and finishing with tiling and flooring. We supply kitchens or fit ones you have bought.

  • Plastering and making good
  • Units, worktops, sink and appliance fitting
  • Splashback tiling and flooring

What will kitchen installation cost?

Typical ranges for kitchen installation. Ground conditions, access and specification move the final figure, which we fix in writing before work starts.

What approvals does kitchen installation need in England?

Projects in England go through two separate checks. Planning (or confirmation that the work is permitted development) comes from the district, borough or unitary council, and building regulations approval comes from the council’s building control team or a registered building control approver. Where work touches a shared wall or digs near a neighbour’s foundations, the Party Wall etc. Act 1996 applies.

A new kitchen does not need planning permission. Some electrical work must be notified under building regulations, and gas work must be done by a Gas Safe registered engineer.

What should I think about before starting?

  • Worktops in stone or quartz are templated after the units go in, adding a week or two.
  • Induction hobs often need a dedicated circuit.

What are the steps?

  1. Send us the details. Give us a postcode, a rough idea of size and some photos, by phone, form or the guide price tool.
  2. Free site visit. We measure up, look at access, drains and the structure, and talk through options and budget.
  3. Design and fixed price. You get drawings and a written price for the agreed specification before anything is ordered.
  4. We build it. Work follows an agreed programme, with inspections at each stage and a final sign-off.
