Covering East Sussex
Our coverage across East Sussex includes Brighton, Eastbourne, Hastings and Hove.
Homes in the South East
The South East has a lot of 1930s and post-war semi-detached housing, well suited to rear extensions and hip-to-gable loft conversions, alongside period properties in conservation areas that need a more careful design.
What is kitchen installation?
A good kitchen fit is mostly preparation: straight walls, level floors, services in the right place and an extraction route that works. Our teams handle the full sequence including electrics and gas connections by suitably registered engineers.
- Removal and disposal of the old kitchen
- Plumbing, electrics and gas alterations
- Splashback tiling and flooring
How much should I budget for kitchen installation?
What kitchen installation typically cost. These are guide ranges; the written quote for your house replaces them.
| Kitchen installation | Guide price incl. VAT |
|---|---|
| Fit only (your units) | £3,000 to £7,000 |
| Supply and fit, mid-range | £10,000 to £20,000 |
| Supply and fit, high-end | £20,000 to £40,000 |
What approvals does kitchen installation need in England?
In England we deal with the council’s planning team for permission or a lawful development certificate, with building control (the council or a registered building control approver) for inspections, and with neighbours under the Party Wall etc. Act 1996 where it applies.
A new kitchen does not need planning permission.
What should I think about before starting?
- Worktops in stone or quartz are templated after the units go in, adding a week or two.
- Moving the sink may need a new waste route or pump.
What happens after I enquire?
- Send us the details. Give us a postcode, a rough idea of size and some photos, by phone, form or the guide price tool.
- We visit and measure. A surveyor checks the house, the boundaries and the ground, and discusses what is realistic.
- Drawings, approvals, written quote. We prepare the design, apply for the approvals it needs, and give you a fixed price in writing.
- Construction and completion. One site lead co-ordinates every trade through to the building control certificate.
